In highly competitive global markets, organizations compete with each-other on a deeper strategic factor – their ‘capability’ to pursue cutting-edge research, innovation and new product development. This deeper factor called ‘strategic innovation capability’ can be a source of ‘competitive advantage’. Especially during crisis, such capabilities can help organizations to sustain their existing competitive advantage and build new ones. We intend to analyse these ‘strategic innovation capabilities’ and brainstorm about how they can be built by researchers, innovators, managers and leaders, collectively.
Dr. Gaurav Dilip Tikas is an Assistant Professor of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Management and Technology, Ghaziabad (India). He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Postdoctoral Research at the Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan as a Suzuki Foundation Fellow. He did his MBA (Marketing) from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and BE (Electronics and Communication) from RTM Nagpur University. He actively publishes research papers, case studies and book chapters in international peer-reviewed journals, books and conferences. He also likes to actively participate in sports, arts and cultural events.
