CONTEXT

Complex, technically demanding projects in terms of scope, technologies and regulatory requirements are generally delivered to customers through contractual arrangements involving clients, project management consultants, contractors and sub-contractors. Since these projects are developed in an increasingly challenging environment, a solid understanding of the tendering/contracting process is critical for proper management of projects.

Many of the projects have failed not due to lack of technical expertise but due to inaccuracies, ambiguities or inconsistencies in the design of project and coordination failure by the team leaders and managers. Understanding the legal underpinnings of projects and managing risks to both technical and contractual delivery is critical to success. Effective project planning, monitoring and control can reduce costs, minimize risks and ensure timely completion of the project.

Dr. Nikunj Kumar Jain

Dr. Nikunj Kumar Jain is faculty at IMT Ghaziabad in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management.

He holds a Fellow Program in Management (PhD) from the IIM Indore and B.Tech (Electrical Engineering). He has cross-functional workexperience in a green field refinery project at Bharat Oman Re¬neries Ltd Bina, District Sagar (M.P.).

He has conducted MDPs on Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Transportation Management and Total Quality Management to various industries for middle and senior management.

Dr. Mrinalini Shah

Dr. Mrinalini Shah is professor & chairperson PGDM at IMT Ghaziabad.Dr. Mrinalini Shah is professor & chairperson PGDM at IMT Ghaziabad. Dr. Shah was awarded European Commission Post-doctoral fellowship and did her research at Warsaw University, Poland. Dr.Shah did advance management program at Harvard Business School and attended a summer school at St. Gallen university, Switzerland. She is APICS Certified Supply Chain (CSCP) fellow and Stanfordventure & NEN certified Entrepreneurship educator.

She has taught in national andinternational Institute of repute including Warsaw University Poland, AUEB Athens Greece, ORTUniversity Montevideo Uruguay, IMT Dubai and NMIMS Mumbai. She was nominated as ICCR ChairProfessor by Republic of India to Republic of Greece and was associated with Athens University of Economics & Business.

She has conducted many training programs for executives of Defense Service, Indian postal service,NTPC, NHPC, ONGC, HCCBPL, RecittBenkiser, RBL etc. and many open MDPs. Dr. Shah has doneconsultancy with Bronisze market , Warsaw Poland, Tatsom sports , Infistud , Admito.in etc both for big names and startup domain.
